LONDON KY— On Tuesday, Oct. 13th at 3:39 a.m. London Police were notified of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Castlewood Drive. Through investigation, Ricky Gilbert, 26, of London was arrested.
Dispatched advised that the homeowner had observed their Land Rover Range Rover backing out of the garage and heading towards North Main Street. At approximately 3:41 a.m. while Sgt. Jacob Bormann and Ofc. Dylan Hampton were patrolling on North Main Street, they observed the stolen vehicle traveling north.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and Gilbert was taken into custody.
Officers assisting in the arrest of Gilbert include Cpl. Elbert Riley, Ofc. Andrew Lawson, Ofc. James Williams.
Gilbert was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking of an automobile $10000 or more but under $1,000,000, failure to wear a seat belt, and no operator’s license. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
