LONDON KY—On Sunday, Oct. 4th London Police made two arrests related to methamphetamine involving two females.
At 3:49 p.m. Ofc. Justin Roby conducted a traffic stop on an Oldsmobile Alero for having cancelled license tags. During the stop, Roby discovered Stephanie Timbrook, 34, of Keavy Road had an active warrant out for her arrest for manufacturing methamphetamine.
Timbrook and her husband gave consent to search their vehicle and during the search Roby located a clear pastic bag in Timbrook’s wallet containing 0.1 grams of methamphetamine. She stated that the wallet was in fact hers, but she didn’t know where the meth came from and denied that it was hers.
Timbrook was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center and charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), of the first offense; no registration plates; and no registration receipt.
At 5:40 p.m. Ofc. Justin Hopkins responded to a complaint of a male and female causing a disturbance at the Microtel Hotel. Hopkins arrested Tammy Garcia, 42, of Frog Avenue in Manchester, Ky. for public intoxication and upon booking Garcia in the Laurel County Detention Center, the jail employees located a small baggie containing 1.5 grams of methamphetamine in her jacket pocket that she had tied around her waist.
Garcia was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center and was charged with public intoxication of a controlled substance and first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), of the first offense.
