LONDON KY—On Monday, May 16th London Police arrived at 1032 East Laurel Road to serve a warrant on Ricky D. Gross, 30, of London and discovered more than the fact that he failed to appear to court. He not only was in possession of drugs and a firearm, but also was involved in a burglary at the Wildcat Flea Market.
When Det. Sgt. Gary Proffitt and Joe Smith arrived at the residence, Gross attempted to walk away. Through a search of the subject incident to arrest, police located a 45 caliber Hi-point pistol within his front waistband. Also found was a pill bottle with one Xanax and a bag containing methamphetamine in his left front pants pocket.
During an interview at the London Police Department, Gross admitted to being involved in a burglary at the Wildcat Flea Market that occurred on May 5th, 2016.
Gross was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of firearm by convicted felon, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
