LONDON KY—On Wednesday, June 29th London Police received a complaint through Dispatch about a man refusing to leave Baymont Inn. Through investigation, Ronald B. Hubbard, 31, of London was arrested.
Upon the arrival of Officers Eric Stallard and Mike Holliday, they spoke with Hubbard who gave the false name of Chad D. Hubbard with a false birth date and social security number. Hubbard was wanted and had three warrants out for his arrest. In his possession he had a bag of towels that belonged to the Inn and was attempting to steal them.
Officers conducted a search and found his wallet with the proper identification, revealing his real name and birth date. A strong odor of marijuana was coming from the bag of towels, and inside, a large plastic bag containing 1.4 ounces of medical grade marijuana was found.
Hubbard was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and giving officers a false name or address. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
