LONDON KY—On Monday, Nov. 21st London Police responded to a single vehicle versus a metal pole hit and run accident at 8:50 a.m. on North Main Street. Through investigation, Crystal Sizemore, 37, of Manchester, Ky. was arrested.
After striking a metal pole on North Main Street, Sizemore parked her Honda Accord at the Save U More parking lot and fled the scene on foot. Sgt. Daniel Robinson, Sgt. Travis Hurley, and Ofc. Jordan Hopkins arrived at the scene and was notified by the 9-1-1 caller that Sizemore was walking north on North Main Street at the intersection of the Hal Rogers Parkway. Police stopped Sizemore and she admitted to being in the accident.
Sizemore failed a series of standard field sobriety tests and located within her purse was a glass pipe with drug residue.
She was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to render aid or assistance, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, failure to maintain required insurance, buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Sizemore was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
