London Police arrest two convicted felons at the Flea Land Flea Market

 

LONDON KY—On Sunday, Jan. 1st at approximately 5 p.m. London Police were notified that a possible wanted man from Somerset was at Flea Land Flea Market on KY-229. Through investigation, two convicted felons were arrested, firearms, methamphetamine, pills, marijuana, and police-like handheld radios were seized.

Upon the arrival of Officers Ashley Wampler and Drew Wilson, they located Christopher C. Bolin, 33, of Somerset who had four active arrest warrants on him, three of which were felony drug indictment warrants. While on scene, police made contact with his brother, Joshua A. Bolin, 28, of Somerset, who was a convicted felon in possession of a handgun. He was carrying a box of .22 caliber shells.

Joshua Bolin told police that he did not have any weapons on him, although when he was patted down for officer safety, a .380 caliber pistol was located in his upper left chest pocket of his coat. Through a search incident to arrest, two clear plastic bags containing methamphetamine was located in his coat pockets. Also found was IV Valium pills, schedule II Lortabs, and a portion of a pill believed to be Suboxone.

After Ofc. Wilson arrested and transported Christopher Bolin to the Laurel County Detention Center, he discovered a small clear plastic bag containing a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine. Ofc. Wilson also obtained a search warrant for Christopher Bolin’s vehicle and found a large container of marijuana, two hand-held radio scanners, a 12-guage shotgun, .22 caliber rifle, and several rounds of ammunition for both firearms.

Christopher Bolin was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession and use of a radio that sends and receives police messages, possession of marijuana, and first-degree possession of methamphetamine. Joshua Bolin was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession and use of a radio that sends and receives police messages, possession of marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of methamphetamine, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
