LONDON KY—London Police responded to a complaint on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 12th of a vehicle parked on private property on West 13th Street. Through investigation, police arrested a woman with methamphetamine.
Officers Jacob Bormann and Patrick Nunley arrived at the scene and made contact with 33-year-old Amber N. Fields of London when she stepped out of her vehicle as they approached. Officers asked for consent to search her vehicle and Fields stated that she had a marijuana pipe inside. She then handed over a bag which contained a glass pipe and what appeared to be marijuana residue.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers located an Altoids container in the driver’s door which had a clear plastic baggy containing a white crystal substance that field tested positive for meth.
Fields was arrested and charged with buying and/or possessing drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of a controlled substance. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
