LONDON KY—On Thursday, July 5th London Police were Dispatched to Waffle House on Hwy. 80 regarding a carjacking.
The carjacking victim stated that they drove a female around Laurel County in a blue Ford Escape Venture Cab, then Moore stole the vehicle at gunpoint at Waffle House. Dispatch identified her as a female in her 40’s in a green dress and a wig.
Ofc. Mike Holliday located the stolen vehicle abandoned behind the Commonwealth Cancer Center on London Mountain View Drive. Assisting at the scene was Lt. Thomas, Ofc. Ashley Wampler, Det. Daniel Robinson and Det. Jessie Williams.
On July 19th near Saint Joseph Lane, London Police arrested Jennifer L. Moore, 49, of London who was involved in two bank robberies and fled on foot. Over $32,264 was recovered at the scene.
Assisting at the scene was Capt. Darrel Kilburn, Lt. Doug Thomas, Sgt. Randy Medlock, Sgt. Travis Dotson, Ofc. Ashley Wampler, Ofc. Cody Faulconer, Ofc. Kenny Jones and the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department.
Following the arrest, it was discovered that the vehicle the female was driving during the robberies was carjacked from Reed Valley Road.
London Police charged her with two counts of Robbery First Degree and Fleeing and Evading Police on foot in the First Degree for the incidents involving Forcht Bank and Cumberland Valley National Bank. Moore is being additionally charged with two more counts of Robbery First Degree for the incidents involving the two carjacked vehicles.
London Police Detectives are continuing the investigation.
